Katelyn

Katelyn is 17 years old from Farranree, Cork.

Three years ago Katelyn was diagnosed with a rare form of Neuroendocrine tumour called a paraganglioma, she had major surgery to remove it.

Unfortunately back in September Katelyn was experiencing pain again and we later found out that the cancer was back.

After numerous scans over the last few months, we found out at the end of March that her tumours are inoperable as there is more than one tumour and there in a risky area so surgery isn’t an option.

After months of trying to get a hospital to take Katelyn on for treatment University College London Hospital have agreed.

Katelyn is going to have 4 rounds of PRRT these will be spread out 8 weeks apart.

The Gavin Glynn Foundation are helping Katelyn and our family with travel, accommodation and living expenses for our journey.
